KNX Engineering for U.S. Electricians, AV Integrators & Builders
You already have the clients, the license and the crew. What you may not have is a KNX engineering department — the ETS programming profession that makes European smart homes work. That's what we are. Plug us in, white-label, and sell projects your Control4-dealer competitors can't.
The model in one sentence: you send floor plans → we engineer the system and ship every device pre-programmed and labeled → your team installs conventionally → we commission (remotely or on site) → your client gets a European-grade KNX home, under your brand if you wish.
Who this is for
- Licensed electricians (FL and beyond) who want a high-margin smart-home line without years of ETS learning curve.
- AV integrators & Control4/Crestron dealers who want a decentralized KNX backbone under their media layer — the classic luxury architecture.
- Custom builders & GCs delivering European-spec homes for international buyers.
- Architects & designers who need Basalte/Jung/Ekinex hardware their local channel can't source or program.
What we deliver
1 · System design from your plans
Complete KNX architecture: lighting/shade/HVAC schedules, bus topology, panel layouts, load schedules, full bill of materials with European pricing — engineered for U.S. voltages and practices (see compliance).
2 · Pre-programmed product supply
Authentic devices from Hager, Jung, Theben, Zennio, Basalte, Ekinex — sourced direct, configured in ETS before shipping, labeled per room/circuit, with documentation your crew actually enjoys.
3 · Commissioning & handover
We verify, fine-tune scenes, integrate voice/app gateways, and train the homeowner — on site for full projects, or via secure remote access. You stay the hero in front of your client.
4 · ETS programming as a service
Already have KNX hardware on a job? We program it remotely. Need changes on a legacy installation? Same. Hourly or fixed-fee.
5 · Partner enablement
Sales support on your first quotes, spec sheets for your proposals, and webinars for your team. Your success sells our next container of actuators — incentives aligned.
How a project runs
- Plans in — PDF architectural plans via our secure portal.
- Design & quote — system design + BOM + fixed engineering fee, typically within days.
- You sell it — under your brand or co-branded; we support the technical Q&A.
- Devices ship pre-programmed — your crew installs on schedule.
- Commissioning — remote or on-site; documentation handed over; support continues in U.S. Eastern hours.
Why partners pick us over figuring it out alone
- 15+ years of KNX on the French Riviera's most demanding villas (Saint-Tropez, Monaco) — see real work.
- Direct European sourcing — brands and finishes U.S. distribution doesn't carry.
- No platform politics — KNX is an open standard; the project file is yours, portable to any certified partner on earth. Your client is never locked to us (which is exactly why they'll stay).
FAQ
Do I need KNX certification or ETS training to offer this?
No. We carry the entire engineering layer — design, ETS programming, documentation, commissioning. You handle what you already master: code-compliant installation. If you later want training, we run sessions for partners.
How do pre-programmed devices arrive?
Labeled per room and circuit, with panel layout drawings, a wiring schedule, and point-to-point documentation. Your team mounts and terminates like conventional equipment; the logic is already inside.
Who handles warranty and support?
Devices carry full manufacturer warranties (Hager, Jung, Theben, Zennio, Basalte, Ekinex). We provide remote support to you during installation and after commissioning — U.S. Eastern hours.
What about permits, code and inspection?
Line-voltage work stays under your license and local AHJ as usual; the KNX bus is safe extra-low voltage. We supply the documentation pack inspectors ask about. Details on our Code & Compliance page.
Can you program a KNX project I already sold?
Yes — ETS programming as a service is exactly that. Send the device list and plans; we program remotely or pre-configure replacements, and commission via secure remote access or on site.
What are typical lead times from Europe?
Most catalog devices ship within 1–3 weeks; design-line keypads (custom finishes) can take 4–8 weeks. We flag long-lead items at the design stage so your schedule never slips.
